Battlestar Galactica: Cylons Return

Based on a television show that was popular in the 1970s, and later re-released and re-mastered. In 2003 a new version of Battlestar Galactica mini-series graced our TV from the SciFi channel, with much acclaim. Moving to a full TV shows, Galactica moved back into our hearts as our favorite battle in space. Of course a video game had to be made, enter Battlestar Galactica the video game.

Battlestar Galactica is an action-packed space combat game set in the universe of the hugely popular sci-fi television show. Sign up to defend the Galactica, or play as the ruthless Cylons as they seek to remove the human menace from existence. Take part in multiplayer space battles – up to 8 players online – or play through the single-player campaign.

Overall, this is a good title with a lot of great battle sequences and hours of fun.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma - A Modern Classic

Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox was a true modern classic. It featured smooth, challenging gameplay and amazing production values. It was, in short, one of the finest games of its generation. In 2005, its gameplay was reworked and expanded for a second release, Ninja Gaiden Black. And incredibly enough, the third time's the charm. No, Ninja Gaiden Sigma isn't a true next-gen sequel, nor is it a simple port of the Xbox release. But it does add a good deal of new content, both subtle and obvious.

If you're a Ninja Gaiden enthusiast, you'll want to see the new chapters, reworked levels, and slicker graphics. And if for some reason you missed it before, this is a must-play game. The action is intense, focused, and certainly not for the faint of heart. It's also among the most satisfying in all of gaming and remains as awe-inspiring as ever, three years after its original release.

Rampart Returns to the PS3 | Ready for Download

Rampart is a pretty cool arcade game that mixes shooting action with block-style puzzle gameplay. You control castles on the land, and you place cannons around those castles to fend off hordes of incoming ships. At the same time, the ships are shooting holes in the walls around your castle. But battle only lasts for a few seconds, and then a rebuilding round starts, where you have a limited amount of time to quickly patch the holes in your walls before battle begins all over again. If you can't surround at least one castle with walls, the game ends. It was an interesting mix of action back in its day, and it's still interesting today. Unfortunately, even the three-player online play can't make up for the PlayStation 3 version's terrible, touchy control.
