Hillary Clinton: I will get us out of Iraq

Democratic presidential hopefuls flashed their anti-war credentials and heaped criticism on President George W. Bush's Iraq policy in an early first debate of the 2008 campaign.

"If this president does not get us out of Iraq, when I am president, I will," pledged Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York.

But Clinton found herself on the receiving end of criticism moments later when former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards said she or anyone else who voted to authorize the war should "search their conscience."

Edwards, in the Senate at the time, also cast his vote for the invasion, but he has since apologized for it.

Castlevania: Symphone of the Night

Konami's classic 2D adventure game, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, will be 10 years old this year. Unlike a lot of older games, SOTN hasn't seen a multitude of updates and rereleases. The first of two releases planned for 2007 is an emulated version of the original PlayStation game for Xbox Live Arcade. It marks a couple of firsts, such as the first emulated console game to appear on Microsoft's download service. It's also the first game to go over the now-outdated 50MB limit for downloadable Xbox 360 games. Considering the size, scope, and sound contained in Symphony of the Night, that larger size makes sense. It all adds up to a faithful version of a classic game that's just about as fantastic today as it was when it was first released.

God of War II: Stand Alone

More of the gory, over-the-top action you've come to expect from this series; fantastically paced, with some ingenious puzzle designs; scale of some of the levels is unbelievably massive; superb graphics and sound; several more bosses than the first game.

It's hard to imagine a better swan song for the PlayStation 2 than God of War II. Though it's not destined to be the very last game for the system, it doesn't seem likely that anything else will come along in the coming months to trump what God of War II achieves. As the sequel to 2005's megapopular action adventure set within the basic confines of Greek mythology, it continues the agonizing and rage-fueled odyssey of the world's angriest man-god, Kratos, as he goes on another epic vengeance bender. It's an altogether familiar adventure in many ways, with a lot of gameplay mechanics held over that haven't necessarily been improved in any meaningful capacity, but that's not to suggest the game isn't better overall. God of War II is a brilliantly paced, tightly crafted piece of work that's as intelligently designed as it is thrilling to play. In short, it's exactly what you would want from a sequel to God of War.

Grand Theft Auto: Steals PSP Market Share

We're up to two Grand Theft Auto games on the PSP, and as of now, both have become PlayStation 2 games not terribly long after the handheld version's release. Vice City Stories, the most recently updated of the two, follows a similar side-story formula. Vice City Stories improves upon some of the flaws found in the first game, not the least of which is improved length and direction, as well as a great deal more personality.

The story's still pretty subpar, though, and as much as this is very much Grand Theft Auto, certain conventions of the series are starting to feel a bit antiquated. Additionally, much as was the case with Liberty City Stories' transition to the PS2, Vice City Stories loses a lot of its appeal when played on a console versus the PSP. Still, it's only $20, and if you don't own a PSP or just never got around to playing it upon its original release, this isn't a bad way to go if you absolutely, positively must get your GTA fix.

Wii it's Excite Truck from Nintendo

You're cruising through the woods, intently focused on the goal. With your fingers crossed tight, you speed past opponents and in between trees, hoping you can finish the day without another wreck. Having speeds in great excess of the limit, you launch off hills and mountains like Tony Hawk flies off ramps. You soar over the world and all its glory – the trees, the lake, and countless man-made structures. Bridges, which are typically crossed, act as a danger zone that, if enough air has been gained, will be crossed over with ease.

Though your eyes are much too busy to see everything the first time, you notice a cluster of hills up ahead. As harmless to your vehicle as the situation may be, there's something about it that raises a red flag. All things likely, you know that one of the hills will slow you down. CYou couldn't possibly gain enough air. There's little hope. Your opponents might catch up.

The Matrix Path of Neo: I am Ready for a New Matrix Game, You?

A total of fifty levels allow the player to participate in many of the major action scenes from the films. Most of these sequences, picked by the movie directors themselves,[2] are taken from the first film in the series.

At the start of the game, the player is hacker Thomas Anderson, and does not possess any of the powers that the character will later discover as Neo. As the game continues, players learn new skills and techniques, equipping Neo for the final showdown with Agent Smith. These additional skills may be learned both in training levels and in the main game. Many of these skills are used by Neo in the trilogy, including the bullet dodge, bullet stop, and flight. A number of weapons are available in the game, consisting of both melee weapons (including various types of swords, staffs, and escrimas) and firearms (assault rifle, submachine gun, pistol etc).

Contra III for the Nintendo Wii: Back To the Future

Contra III picks up right about where just about every Contra game picks up: The evil alien forces of the vile Red Falcon have invaded Earth. As either Bill in solo play or with Lance in two-player, you take on several stages' worth of nasty aliens firing guns, other aliens, and all sorts of other unpleasantness coming at you until you've defeated the aforementioned vile Red Falcon. Of course, the trick here is that all these stages are wicked hard and packed to the brim with enemies and crazy pitfalls that sometimes come out of nowhere.

Maybe $8 isn't the best price for a relatively brief shooter like Contra III, but its addictive and challenging gameplay makes it easier to justify paying such a price. For Contra fans, this one's basically a no-brainer, but if you never really got into the series back in the day and fancy yourself a shooter fan, this is as good a place as any to start.

Super Bowl Frenzy with Madden 2007

I played Madden 2007 today, and put in the Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears, and let it pay the game while I watched. Guess who won? The Colts of course, it was a close game that came down to a field goal with 1 minute left in the game and then the bears throw an interception to win the game. The final score 24-21 Colts.

Good luck to both teams but I think Madden knows who is going to win......

Wii love Nintendo

I played the Wii! I love it! This is the best console ever made. Nintendo always comes up with the coolest interactive content and technology. The track and field pad, the zapper gun, and bongos for Donkey Kong.

Xbox 360 is good and PS3 is good but they are what we expect from a console. Nintendo took it to the next level.

Our children will be in shape

The next generation of children will get fit with the Wii. Parents buy this for your children and make sure they stay fit. No long will children veg in front of the tv playing baseball and tennis with a control that does all the action for them. With the Wii players have to swing to hit the ball, use a pitching motion to through the baseball to the catcher, and do a backhand swing to hit the tennis ball over the net.

I was tired after 30 minutes of play. I guess I am out of Wii shape but the more I play the more fun I have.

Buy it if you can find it!

Will Playstation Ever Learn?

I remember when the first generation of the PS2 console had a problem playing PS1 games. I thought they dropped the ball on that one.

Now the first-generation PS3 is having trouble playing PS2 games. Will they ever learn? They had an extra year to produce the console. I guess it is about Profit/Loss ratio. How much are they going to lose on consoles that are flawed. In this case, absolutely nothing. To bad for the early adopters.

I got my eye on a second generation PS3 and I won't have to stand out in the cold for two days to get one! Wait until February if you can.

Apple and Video Games, oh my!

Take a bite of Apple! Everyone else is trying!
Apple getting into the Video Game industry? They sell iTunes, iPods, Movies and TV show downloads, and of course they are getting into the Apple game. They just need to make sure that it is mobile and virtual. Maybe it can be like home phones where you have a base phone and a couple extra phones in the bedrooms.

A main console you play at home and mobile console extensions so everyone can play together and on the Internet? I should sell these ideas, but I would probably have to pay someone to take them :)

Dual Shock the MLG

Now we have the MLG Major League Gaming Pro Circuit. They are paying people to play video games on TV. I watched for a full hour and I don't know if I will ever watch again. Especially the close up cam of a gamers face as they play video games.

At least with Paintball you get to see people get hit by hard objects, super cool. Eating contests? Guys eating 60 hot dogs in 15 minutes, got to love it! Professional Gamers? Maybe if it was virtual dodgeball and the players were hooked up to shocking devices and when they get hit in the game the get shocked, that would be entertaining.

Dual Shock those MLG guys :)
